So What's Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin?

So What's Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? follows Akira Yagami, an office worker whose selfless act of heroism costs him his life. When he wakes up in another world, he discovers he's been reincarnated as a goblin, a creature whose species typically survives only seven days. Armed with extraordinary powers that allow him to break free from this biological limitation, Akira embarks on a journey to become the strongest goblin to ever exist. The series blends action, adventure, and comedy with deeper elements of drama, fantasy worldbuilding, and romance.

This ONA (original net animation) premiered in Fall 2026 and is actively releasing new episodes. The show streams one week ahead of its television broadcast on ABEMA and Prime Video, giving online viewers early access to the story. Episode 3 arrives on October 12, 2026. The premise taps into the popular isekai genre while putting a fresh spin on reincarnation by making the protagonist's new form itself a challenge to overcome, rather than a power fantasy gift wrapped in an overpowered ability from day one.
