The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2

The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 continues the mystery-comedy series with thirteen episodes airing throughout fall 2026, starting October 7. The show blends supernatural elements with romance and drama as Kimihiko navigates a new investigation that reopens the circumstances surrounding Siesta's death. A year has passed since his silver-haired partner's murder, and fresh leads promise to entangle him once more in threads of murder and conspiracy.

This season picks up the momentum from the first installment, maintaining the series' balance of comedic moments alongside genuine mystery and emotional stakes. The supernatural angle suggests cases extend beyond ordinary detective work, keeping viewers engaged with both procedural elements and character-driven storytelling. The romance subplot adds another layer to Kimihiko's journey as he processes grief while moving forward.

New episodes release weekly on Wednesdays. The thirteen-episode run provides a substantial continuation of the story, offering enough space for the series to develop its mysteries and character relationships meaningfully. Fans of supernatural mysteries with comedic undertones and those who enjoyed the first season will find this installment worth following as it airs.
