What is Romelia War Chronicle?
Romelia War Chronicle is a fantasy adventure drama following a young woman navigating life after the Demon King's defeat. Though she played a crucial role in the victory alongside her party, Romelia finds herself dismissed by society and abandoned by Prince Henri, who publicly breaks their engagement and labels her dead weight for not fighting on the front lines. Stripped of recognition and cast out by her own family, she returns home to face cold indifference from everyone around her. Rather than succumb to despair, Romelia charts her own course forward, refusing to let others define her worth or her future.
This ONA series spans 24 episodes across the 2026 fall season, beginning October 3rd with early streaming access on select platforms before its television broadcast premiere on October 5th. The story goes beyond typical victory narratives to explore themes of resilience, self-determination, and finding purpose when the world turns its back. Currently releasing with episode 4 arriving on October 24th, the series offers a fresh take on post-victory fantasy storytelling, focusing on personal growth rather than battle spectacle.
Romelia War Chronicle suits viewers drawn to character-driven fantasy stories with emotional depth and protagonists who must forge their own path despite societal rejection.
Romelia and her party succeed in defeating the Demon King Zelgis, though Prince Henri’s reckless charge forces them into a grueling battle. In the aftermath, Romelia is branded "dead weight" for not fighting directly, and the Prince unilaterally breaks off their engagement. Denied a place in the victory celebrations, Romelia returns home, only to be met with cold indifference from her family and society. Yet, she refuses to break. She has already set her sights on the path that lies ahead.
