Uncle's Obsession with Cute Things

Uncle's Obsession with Cute Things is a comedy slice-of-life series following Mitsutaka Oji, a polished office professional whose carefully maintained image masks an all-consuming passion for adorable things. By day he commands respect as a dependable boss; by night he surrenders to his true calling, lavishing attention on his beloved mascot Pugtaro and chasing every cute collectible and trinket that catches his eye. The series explores what happens when his meticulously compartmentalized worlds collide after an unexpected encounter forces him to confront his feelings and abandon the pretense he's maintained for years.

This twelve-episode TV series is currently airing throughout the fall 2026 season, with new episodes releasing weekly. The second episode airs on October 11, 2026. The show delivers gentle humor grounded in relatable slice-of-life moments, making it ideal for viewers who enjoy character-driven comedy and stories about self-acceptance. Oji's journey resonates particularly well with anyone who's ever felt the need to hide their true interests or passions behind a more socially acceptable persona.
