What is BLACK TORCH?

BLACK TORCH follows Jirou Azuma, a high schooler descended from ninjas with the rare ability to communicate with animals. When he encounters an injured cat named Ragou, he learns the creature is the legendary Black Star of Doom. Teaming with the Bureau of Espionage, Jirou battles mononoke threatening to harness Ragou's mysterious powers. This 12-episode summer 2026 series blends action, fantasy, and supernatural elements.

Jirou Azuma is no average high schooler. A descendant of ninjas and trained in the ancient warrior art of the shinobi, Jirou is also able to talk with animals.
